When a new anchor tenant moved to this iconic 49-story midtown Manhattan office tower – formerly known as 4 Times Square – the core-and-shell infrastructure needed to be updated to support new trading floors and data centers. The Durst Organization engaged Fulcrum as a technical Owner’s Agent and Construction Manager to provide design peer reviews, prime contracting, and systems commissioning services for the infrastructure project, which included installation of two new 750 kW engine generators, free-standing resistive load banks, a 10,000-gallon fuel oil tank and pumping systems, and new electrical risers.
