Fulcrum provided fundamental and enhanced commissioning services for this 365K GSF combination teaching and research science facility, which leveraged state-of-the-art technologies to achieve a LEED-BD+C Gold certification. The centerpiece of the NYU Langone Health Campus Transformation Project, the building was strategically designed to integrate cutting-edge biomedical research facilities and services to enhance collaboration and efficiency, and to accommodate research advances over time.
Building systems commissioned include:
- Central chilled water plant including chilled beam distribution
- Laboratory fume hoods, exhaust systems, and associated controls
- Paralleling switchgear, double ended substations, emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, and emergency power distribution
- High pressure steam distribution
- Central heating hot water plant and distribution
- Laboratory gas system
- Central air distribution and associated terminal units
- Building automation system and corresponding sequences of operations
