The Durst Organization – One Bryant Park

The Durst Organization selected Fulcrum as its commissioning agent and MEP Owner’s representative for what was then the world’s most sustainable skyscraper. Fulcrum was engaged at the initial stages of project conception to review and help shape the base concepts for the mechanical, electrical, and central utility systems, including a first-of-its-kind combined heat and power plant that resulted in millions of dollars in energy savings and savings of over 20 million gallons of water annually. Among other features, the 2.1M GSF building included an ultra-high efficiency chiller plant with ice storage systems, an underfloor air distribution system, demand control ventilation technologies, and gray water reclamation infrastructure. One Bryant Park was the first LEED-Platinum certified skyscraper.
