Fulcrum was engaged by The Rockefeller University to deliver a campus-wide energy audit and multi-year capital investment roadmap for the Institution’s mission-critical energy systems. As a world class research university with dozens of Nobel Laureate researchers, and a campus whose program includes BSL-3 laboratories, animal facilities, and extensive medical research suites, the Rockefeller campus represents some of the most energy intensive spaces in New York City. Fulcrum’s recommendations established an innovative energy program with a composite payback of less than 15 years and a technical strategy to electrify heating for some of the highest energy usage intensity laboratories on campus.
